Chinese Exam Preparation Seminar
The grasses are tall and the nightingales are in the air in April in Yuexi County. On 27th April, Paradise Junior High School in Yuexi held the 2018 Chinese Senior High School Entrance Examination Review and Preparation Seminar cooperated and constructed by five schools. Led by Vice Principal Liu Bing, the Chinese Department of the 9th grade from Anqing Foreign Language School attended this event.
The seminar consisted of the Senior High School Entrance Exam review session, evaluation of classroom teaching as well as thematic review strategies. In the morning, two teachers Wu Yuehong and Lian Honghong from Paradise Junior High School and Anqing Foreign Language School respectively showcased efficient review demonstration lessons. In the afternoon, five teachers from Tongcheng Three-Star Middle School, Anqing Foreign Language School, Yuexi Changpu Middle School, Five-River Middle School and Paradise Junior High School separately conducted class evaluation. Afterwards, based on the ‘New Curriculum Standard’ and the Senior High School Entrance Examination Outline of Anhui Province, teacher representatives with the Chinese Departments from the five schools mentioned above respectively set up symposiums from the Chinese Entrance Exam point of view. They pointed out that during the exam preparation process, teachers were supposed to earnestly study the proposition characteristics, the new curriculum standard, exam descriptions, tidy, conclude and manage textbooks and check points in close combination with the new curriculum standards and Senior High School Entrance Exam Instructions, adopt scientific review strategies and methods step by step, meticulously prepare the exam in addition to enhancing guidance on test methods and skills such as attitude adjustment, question analysis and problem solving standardization. In the end, each leading teacher from the five schools summarized the event separately.
Moreover, Anqing Foreign Language School’s Vice Principal Liu Bing fully affirmed this Chinese Entrance Exam Seminar. He stressed that this amazing event not only was the exchange of Chinese Exam Seminar, but also the communication from teaching to management and academics to spirit among schools, which laid a solid foundation for the subsequent implementation of school cooperation and construction work.
To sum up, the one-day teaching research activity unfolded in three ways: classroom communication, teaching assessment and expert guidance, which achieved complete success. All the teachers present analyzed the 2018 Chinese Senior High School Entrance Exam situation in a dense research atmosphere, cleared the review thinking, discussed the coping strategies and benefited a lot.
